Hi Everyone! I am so sorry that I didn't post a Book Review last week, I went out shopping with my Grandma and got side-tracked! Here is this week's Book Review, and be sure to look out for another new post this week too! :)
Redwall by Brian Jacques
Matthias is a mouse that has arrived at Redwall Abbey in Mossflower Woods. Redwall Abbey is a peaceful place where all mice and badgers get along, and help others in need. That is, the Abbey is peaceful until Cluny the Scourge an evil rat, interrupts that peace. The infamous Warlord and his horde want Redwall Abbey to themselves, and threaten the dwellers of the Abbey.
Everyone at Redwall Abbey thinks that only the spirit of their founder, Martin the Warrior can help them. Determined to help the Abbey, Matthias and his friends Cornflower and Methuselah, go on a quest to find Martin's hidden sword and shield, which leads them to a huge adventure!
This is one of my favorite books and only the beginning to the Redwall series! It is so much fun to read, the author really brings you into the story too. The fighting gets a little bit extreme at points, so I reccommend this book to boys and girls 12 and up.
Happy Reading,
Liz
